What is the aim of this passport?

The idea is to give young people the keys to understanding mobility in its various forms. It enables them to find out about the different opportunities for discovering Europe, depending on whether they want to study or train abroad, gain their first professional experience in another country, or discover other cultures and languages. We know that finding and decoding information can be difficult, even for VET and higher education professionals. Many programs exist, but are still too little known. The Passport provides an overview.

Developed as part of the Erasmus in Schools (EiS) project to improve young people’s access to information on mobility schemes through peer-to-peer exchanges, the Mobility Passport was initiated by ESN France, in partnership with Euro App Mobility and other partners such as OBESSU and ESN Spain. This inclusive tool, also aimed at work-study students, is published in French and Spanish. It will be presented at the EiS project dissemination event to be held in early June at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers.

The passport includes pictograms to assist work-study students in identifying relevant mobility opportunities aligned with their preferences and profiles. The passport provides information on possible destinations, duration, financing, tips and reference sites for furthering your chosen career path, as follows:

  • I want to continue my studies and training abroad
  • I want to gain professional experience abroad
  • I want to discover other cultures

This essential pre-departure tool will be the compass that will help candidates find their way in the confusing world of mobility, whether to study abroad, boost their career or explore other countries and cultures in Europe.
