The MONA project, led by Euro App Mobility, aims to promote and structure long-term mobility for apprentices in Europe, by integrating a professional experience abroad into work-study training programs.

Objectives

Facilitate

access to mobility of at least two months for apprentices, in order to strengthen their technical, linguistic, digital, and intercultural skills.

Stabilize

the role of mobility referent within the CFA and ensure their skill development.

Implement

services and resources for training centers, businesses, and apprentices.

Contribute

to the development of a European space for apprenticeship and vocational education and training (VET) for apprentices.

What are the contributions of the MONA project to the world of apprenticeship?

  • Over 10,000 apprenticeshave benefited from a professional experience abroad since 2022
  • Equip CFAs with resources to support them in implementing their apprentices’ mobility
  • Raise awareness among employers about the benefits of mobility for their apprentices as well as their businesses
  • Facilitate exchanges between French CFAs and European vocational training institutions
  • Access to a network of ambassadors of apprentices who have undertaken mobility

Duration, Funding, and Consortium

The project runs from

September 2022 to August 2026.

It has a total budget of 25 million euros, including 17 million euros in public funding under the “France 2030” program.

The consortium brings together about forty volunteer CFAs (apprentice training centers) and the state-backed startup Diagoriente, under the coordination of Euro App Mobility. The consortium is closed; EAM cannot accept new members.
